Amazon Wishlists and Flex books

I heard on the latest The Flex Show Podcast that Adobe will purchase and send any Flex books on Amazon wishlists. I just loaded up my wishlist with all the Flex books I don't currently have.

My Amazon.com Wish List

Any books I get I will review on this blog. Also, if I missed any Flex books, please let me know so I can add them.

Thanks in advance Adobe!

Is this for real?

Ok, I may have went a little crazy, but better to be safe than sorry. Looks like there are more Flex and related books than we thought.

That doesn't work exactly as I would hope. That one is pretty much useless. Let's try this again.

@Doug,

I hope so. I'll post when the first book arrives.

@KC Wow, you really loaded up!

Yeah, loading up can't hurt. Plus, I like surprises. As far as the lists go, we should obviously make them public, but what about showing our address? You think the Amazon databases will just link it to our personal accounts?

I have as much as I could find about this whole thing and am still a little fuzzy on the details. Can you shed some light?

@KS

Yeah, I am a bit hazy on the details myself. If you get your books, please post a comment. I'd like to know if this works.

I hope it isn't a 'Free Ipod sort of scam.... those are annoying ....

Oh man, I feel you on that one. A perfectly ruined inbox was all I got for that. I am still not sure about the details, but I will let you know if I get any!

Yeh if anyone actually does receive any books from this let me know as I find it hard to believe at the moment.

Yeah, I am beginning to think it's only Adobe elitists who get them. Not regular guys like me! Oh well, it would have been cool.

@Kola et al

Well, it is official. I received my first Amazon WishList item from Adobe.

They're still doing this, just received 'Flex 2 with ActionScript 3.0', with message "Happy Flex coding! With best wishes from Adobe". I'm not sure that one was actually on my wishlist (do wishlist items disappear when someone buys them for you?), but I do have another Flex book on the wishlist.

Thanks Adobe!

Opinions aside for a moment, there is another subtle difference between your wing and mine. Your wing is on the rear of your car.
